John attended Hillsdale College for two years before  transferring to Ferris State University. John earned his Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy in 1975 and Graduated from Ferris. John spent many years traveling the state working as a Pharmacist before winding up at Thompson Pharmacy in February of 1999 and transferred to Olson’s West in March of that same year.

John belongs to United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and the United States Sail and Power Squadrons. Both of these organizations are heavily involved in boater safety and education. John also enjoys swimming and sailing during the summer and vacationing on the beaches of Jamaica during the winter.
